About Me

I graduated from Fort Davis High School in 2011 and earned my bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University in 2014. After college, I worked at Angelo State as a Title IX Investigator until 2019, when I received my Texas Real Estate Agent license and Texas Appraiser Trainee license, and spent the next several years working in real estate, appraisals, and title examination. I then made the decision to attend law school, knowing I wanted to help clients in rural communities facing land and title issues.
I started at Texas Tech School of Law in August of 2021 and received my Juris Doctor in 2024 with a specialization in Energy Law. Today, I am licensed to practice law in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma, and in the Federal Northern District Court of Texas.
My practice focuses on surface and mineral title examination, mineral sales, real estate, and estate planning. Outside of my practice, I serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Women’s Protective Services of Lubbock, a shelter for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence in and around the Lubbock area.
At Stephens Legacy Law, my goal is to provide guidance that helps individuals and families protect what they, and generations before them, have worked so hard to build.
My Legacy
Growing up in a ranching family in Far West Texas, land was never just dirt. It was history, heritage, and legacy. My family on my Dad’s side has been ranching cattle south of Marfa, near Big Bend, since 1882. Conversations about private property rights were a normal part of life in my family, and those early experiences shaped the way I think about land and the people connected to it. It is that foundation which led me to build Stephens Legacy Law.
Title work also runs in my family. My great-grandmother on my Mom's side founded the Presidio County Abstract Office in Marfa in 1968. My grandmother later carried on that work, followed by my Dad. My parents still live in Far West Texas, between Fort Davis and Marfa, and the land there continues to influence the way I think about stewardship and legacy.
My Dad, who first taught me how to run title, is now a ranch real estate Broker with extensive experience in both surface and mineral title examination. My Mom, a teacher and reading specialist, retired after having worked in education for 27 years. My younger sister, who is also an oil & gas and property attorney in Lubbock, graduated from Tech Law in 2025. We had the unique privilege of overlapping two years of our law school education and were able to take many classes together.

Today, those lifelong connections to land, heritage, and family shape the way I serve my clients. I am grateful for the opportunity to help landowners and families understand their rights and protect the property that often represents generations of blood, sweat, and tears.
In many ways, the work I do today continues a family tradition of helping people understand the story their land tells and ensuring that story can be carried forward for future generations.
